## Who is responsible

The data controller is **Red Forest S.L.**, a company incorporated in Spain. You
can reach us at [hello@onetotem.com](mailto:hello@onetotem.com) about anything on
this page.

## What we collect

This site sets no cookies at all, and nothing here identifies you or follows
you anywhere else. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to
consent to: we store nothing on your device and we build no profile of you.

**We do count visits.** We use [Plausible](https://plausible.io), and it runs
from our own servers rather than theirs. Your browser never contacts anyone
but us. What we send on, for each page you open: the page address, the site
that linked you here if any, and your browser, operating system, device type
and rough location (country, region, city). Your IP address is used to work out
that location and to count you once per day, and then it is discarded. It is
never stored, by them or by us.

There is no identifier that survives the day, so we cannot tell that today's
visitor is yesterday's, and we do not try.

Counting needs JavaScript. If you have it off, you are simply not in the
numbers, and we would rather say that than quote a figure as if it were
everyone.

If you write to us (an application, a question, a reply to something we
published) we hold what you sent us and what we needed to answer it.

## Why we're allowed to

For the visit counts: our legitimate interest in knowing whether anyone reads
what we publish, weighed against an intrusion we have deliberately kept to
nearly nothing: no cookie, no persistent identifier, no IP kept, no data sold
or shared with anyone.

For applications: to run the hiring process described on the
[careers page](/careers/). For everything else: because you contacted us and we
would like to answer.

## How long we keep it

Visit counts as aggregate statistics, with nothing in them that points back to
a person. Applications for as long as the process runs, plus a period
afterwards if you tell us you'd like to be considered again. Correspondence for
as long as it is useful, and not longer out of habit.

## What you can ask us to do

Access what we hold, correct it, delete it, or object to us holding it at all.
Write to [hello@onetotem.com](mailto:hello@onetotem.com); a person answers.
