Empathy has become a shitty buzzword about being super nice and super friendly, with your heart filled with love for others.

Truth is empathy is as simple as being able to hit the pause button, think twice, question whether you're being clear enough, and avoid assumptions. As a remote company we consider it a requirement to be as clear as we can. That involves honesty, kindness, an understanding of who you're talking to (client, colleague, partner), and patience.
